Nurses Talk And Compare Notes

Dear Source:
The problem with the nursing shortage, at least here on St. Croix, has much more to do with the working conditions and treatment of nurses than with pay. If our government officials would like to know what is happening, perhaps they should encourage input from the fairly sizable number of nurses who reside here but choose not to work at any of the government facilities. They could also get very interesting feedback from our retired nurses. It is a real shame that when we talk to each other, we compare notes, laugh about the wringing of hands, and swear NEVER to work for the government again.
On my way out the door I kept documentation that would make your hair stand on end. I worked at JFL from 1997 to 2003.
