Walter Blackman Dies at 80

May 31, 2007 – Walter Blackman, better known as "Homes" or "Blackie," died at home in Estate Tutu Valley. He died on May 30, at the age of 80.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Blackman; sons: Carl, Walter, Victor and Keith Blackman; daughters: Patricia, Edith, Audith, Arlene and Coral Blackman, Charlene Blackman-Brathwaite and Sylvette Blackman-Gerald; and adopted daughter, Carol Thomas. Other survivors are sisters: Eleanor Todman and Bernice Lanclos; aunt, Adina Vanterpool; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Ther will be a viewing held from 5-7 p.m., on Thursday, June 7, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., on Friday, June 8, at Wesley Methodist Church, to be followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
All arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
