What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

May 15, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, May 20. This Sunday we will feature music by Jimmy Buffett, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Jud Caswell, Susan Tedeschi, David James, Terri Hendrix and more.

The Modern Music Feature CD is "Live at Texas Stadium," a live concert CD featuring the combined efforts of folk artist Jimmy Buffett and country artists Alan Jackson and George Strait. The music is lively and the artists all seem to be having a great time. You can hear some steel drums in some of the songs and the country music has a Caribbean flavor, creating a unique musical blend.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Blackberry Time" by contemporary folk artist Jud Caswell. Caswell has a fine voice and a style reminiscent of John Gorka.
We play new music from the Greencards, Storyhill, Jonathan Edwards, blues artist Gary Primich and more.
We include music from Ruthie Foster, Al Green, Sam Cooke, Susan Tedeschi, Rory Block and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of Joe Cocker and folk artist Chuck Brodsky. We also feature music from St. Croix artist David James and from Terri Hendrix, who will be performing live in concert at Tillett Gardens on Jan. 23, 2008.
We give away a copy of the latest CD from Joan Armatrading, "Into the Blues," which is a fine new direction for Joan with her first blues CD. We also give away a fine 2-CD set from the eclectic Ben Harper.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
