WAPA Announces Customer Hours for Carnival Week

April 23, 2007 – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority has announced its customer service hours during Carnival Week, as follows:
On St. Thomas, customer offices will close from Thursday through Saturday. For customer convenience, offices will reopen one-half hour earlier at 7:30 a.m., on Monday. The St. Thomas standpipe will remain open through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and close on Saturday and Sunday.
On St. John, customer offices will close at noon, on Wednesday and remain closed until 8 a.m., Monday. The St. John standpipe will open on Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and close on Saturday and Sunday.
On St. Croix, customer offices will close on Friday and Saturday and reopen at 8 a.m., on Monday. The St. Croix standpipe will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday.
Customers can make payment on line at www.viwapa.vi using a VISA, MASTERCARD, or AMERICAN EXPRESS credit card. Customers without a PIN number should request one as soon as possible. Payment can also be made in drop boxes at WAPA customer service offices, by mail or at participating banks.
Customers with electrical or water emergencies, including disconnection earlier in the week for non-payment, can call 773-2250 or 773-0150 on St. Croix. On St. Thomas, St. John or Water Island, electrical emergencies should be reported to 774-1424 and water emergencies to 775-5873.
