Dear Source:
My name is Larry Lucas and I write to you today from Seguin, Texas. On December 25, 2006 your paper ran an obituary about a friend of mine, James Julien.
Actually, I am one of a large group of musicians and artists who became lifelong friends at a bar on Rampart Street in New Orleans in the early 70's. The New Orleans bar was called The Wrong Place Saloon and we are planning a reunion this summer. In support of our planning we have created a Web site. James now has a Memorial Page on the site.

I personally played in a band with James for about three years in the mid to late 70's. He was a good friend and colleague.
It is obvious that the obit was written by someone who knew James well and that yours is small, tightly knit community. I am writing in hopes that this e-mail will reach the person who wrote the piece, or some of his band mates or close friends there. Perhaps, we might be able to learn more of his life after New Orleans.
Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Larry Lucas
