May 6, 2006 – The FunZone Family Entertainment Center, a new restaurant with a video gaming concept, opened in the Golden Rock Shopping Center three weeks ago, and a grand opening celebration is planned for mid-May.
The 7,000 square foot, quick-service restaurant serves original recipe pizzas, hamburgers, salads and mouth-watering ice cream desserts. A highlight of the restaurant is its indoor 650 square foot soft-play center, as well as a variety of video games for all ages and a prize redemption center where customers can redeem tickets earned while playing video games for exciting prizes.
The restaurant features a separate birthday party area where parents can choose from birthday packages tailored specifically to meet their needs.
FunZone is primarily for families with children but as St. Croix general manager Patrick Providence says, "There is something at FunZone for everyone."
"We want this to be a destination where people can come, eat and have fun in a bright family-friendly atmosphere."
Providence says FunZone is "a place where you come for the food and stay for the fun."
