V.I. Fast Ferry Donates Computers to St. Mary's

April 27, 2006 – Virgin Islands Fast Ferry recently donated eight computers to St. Mary's Catholic School in Christiansted, according to a press release from St. Mary's.
"We were thrilled to receive these computers and will put them to good use both immediately and as we prepare to move into our new Fine Arts Building next year," said Elizabeth Hering, school administrator. "These computers are commercial quality and will make it easier to integrate them into our computer network. It is imperative that our students are technologically literate and that they perceive themselves as part of a global community. Donations such as this help us to close the digital divide and keep our students up to date. We appreciate very much this generous donation from Boston Harbor Cruises."
The expected completion this summer of phase one of the Fine Arts Building and the upgrade to fiber optic cable will expand the development of the music, art and theatre programs.
