Activities Mark Small Business Week

April 25, 2006 – The UVI Small Business Development Center in collaboration with the U. S. Small Business Administration will celebrate Small Business Week in the Virgin Islands from May 8 through May 13. There will be a media appearance, seminars, small business clinics and the annual SBDC/SBA Small Business Awards Ceremonies. The public is encouraged to attend and support these activities. Admission is free. Please pre-register.
There will be a seminar on "The Business of Working with Wood" in collaboration with UVI Cooperative Extension Service and Virgin Islands Resource Conservation & Development Council Inc. (VIRC&D) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on May 8, at the SBDC Training Facility, St. Thomas.
There will be a seminar on " Creative Financing" in collaboration with FirstBank Virgin Islands from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., on May 10, at the SBDC Training Facility.
On St. Thomas there will be a show on Radio One-AM 1000, "The Afternoon Mix" with Raul Carillo, on May 12, and there will be a SBDC/SBA Annual Awards Ceremony from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on May 12, at the SBDC Training Facility.
There will also be a Small Business Clinic in collaboration with FirstBank Virgin Islands, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., on May 13, at FirstBank – Waterfront Branch, St. Thomas.
