Jan. 26, 2006 — The Virgin Islands Carnival Committee announced Thursday it will honor Evelyn "Isalyne" Lloyd for her many years of involvement in Carnival and the Cultural Fair by naming the event after her. This year's Cultural Fair will be called "Isalyne's Caribbean Corner."
The Carnival Committee will announce the names of other honorees at a press conference scheduled for Tuesday.
Cultural Fair applications will be available Monday, Jan. 30, 2006 and are due Feb. 24, 2006. For more information about the application process, contact Ingerborg Marrero, Cultural Fair sub-committee chair, at 776-3112.
