Alert: Water Interruption Expected to Continue Into Evening Hours

Dec. 9, 2005 – Potable water customers will need to find another water supply Friday while the Water and Power Authority repairs a 24-inch main water line which broke close to the Virgin Islands Port Authority Terminal across from Emile Griffith Ballpark. As a result of the break, all water customers, especially those in the higher elevations on St. Thomas, will experience water service interruption.
A release from WAPA said repairs are expected to take most of the day and evening. The release said every effort will be made to complete repairs as soon as possible.
