Business Brief: Century to Make Unscheduled Stop Friday

Nov. 3, 2005 – The cruise ship Century will make an unscheduled call on St. Thomas Friday. It will arrive at 7 a.m. and depart for Port Everglades at 6 p.m.
A release from the West Indian Co. Ltd. said the ship will berth at the WICO dock.
The visit is a special charter, according to Alfred Lloyd, WICO spokesman. He said WICO had only recently firmed up the details of the call.
"She was out of our area for some time with the opening of the Asian market." Now that she's back in the Caribbean Lloyd said he expects St. Thomas will again be on her regular schedule.
Hurricanes in the western Caribbean have sent several scurrying into Charlotte Amalie Harbor this year, but in the case of the Century, this was a planned visit.
The Century is part of the Celebrity Cruise Line fleet. The Norwegian Majesty and the Golden Princess will also be in port Friday.
