Papaya Establishment Workshop

Sept. 8, 2005 – The University of the Virgin Islands Agricultural Experiment Station and the Cooperative Extension Service will sponsor a free Papaya Establishment Workshop on Sunday, Sept. 25, from 3-5 p.m., in the Research and Extension Center, room 133, on the St. Croix campus.
The topics include: papaya varieties, seedling production, irrigation and water usage, pests and diseases. Dr. Thomas Zimmerman, research associate professor of biotechnology and agro-forestry, will be the presenter. All farmers and interested persons should call UVI Cooperative Extension Service at 692-4069 to register.
