SBDC TO HOLD SEMINAR ON PERSONAL CREDIT BASICS

Oct. 18, 2003 — The UVI Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will conduct a seminar entitled "Personal Credit Basics: What Everybody Needs to Know" from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the SBDC Training Facility at Nisky Center, Suite 720, on St. Thomas.
Presenters Linroy E. Freeman and Karen Sprauve will cover such topics as who needs credit, fixing bad credit, how personal credit affects plans to start a business and what students should know about credit and credit reports.
Admission to the seminar is $20. A 50 percent discount is available to individuals who pre-register. Admission for UVI faculty, staff and students is free, although they must pre-register. For details and to pre-register call the SBDC at 776-3206 or visit the Nisky Center office Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
