DONATE GIFTS AT CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Dec. 16, 2002 – The national Angel Tree Foundation is assisting a local church to make holiday wishes come true for children who can sometimes be overlooked at Christmas. Impacting Your World Christian Ministries will receive gifts for children of incarcerated parents and for disadvantaged children at its Christmas Celebration on Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Windward Passage Hotel from 6 to 8 p.m.
Kim Sledge, one of the singing sisters in musical group Sister Sledge, will perform at the celebration.
The Rev. Gerald McDonald, pastor of Impacting Your World, asks that donors wrap their presents and put labels on them that designate the appropriate gender and age for which the gifts are suited.
McDonald said, "We are targeting children of incarcerated parents through Angel Tree. Though the parents are miles away in the states, we are reaching out to show our love."
Call the church at 774-6178 for more information.
