UPDATE ON NOPA'S FOR TEACHER PAY RAISES

Oct. 17, 2002 – The implementation of salary increases for members of the American Federation of Teachers bargaining unit is proceeding, according to a Government House release.
To date, it said, 2,206 Notices of Personal Action have been prepared by the Education Department, and 2,070 have been processed through the Division of Personnel and returned to Education; 37 did not meet the verification process and have been returned to Education for correction.
Efforts continue toward effecting the increases as soon as possible, the release stated.
