POST OFFICE EMPLOYEES GET STAMP OF APPROVAL

June 25, 2002 – Ten local postal employees will receive awards of excellence for their outstanding performance in fiscal year 2001.
The award, the Mr. Dave Solomon Vice-President Area Operations New York Metro Area Award, is based on perfect attendance, job performance, commitment and consistent professional services to the customers, according to a release from Postmaster Louis A. Jackson, and the following ten postal workers have qualified for consideration:
St. Thomas recipients are: Lorraine George, Tiffany Gumbs and Myron Howard, working out of the Aubrey C. Ottley Post Office; Wilbur Abramson, Emancipation Garden Station, and Carmen Gordon, East End Station.
Cruz Bay Post Office recipients are Alston Smith and Alphanise Meade.
Honored on St. Croix are: Wendell D. Thomas, Frederiksted Post Office; Errol Heerwan, Christiansted Post Office; and Angel Encarnacion at Kingshill Post Office.
