June 12, 2001 — St. Croix residents will have a chance to learn everything they ever wanted to know about homeownership at the upcoming 2001 Housing Fair and Expo.
Delegate Donna Christensen, in conjunction with various banks and housing industry professionals is sponsoring the event. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 23 at the Sunshine Mall.
As in the past four years, Chase Manhattan Bank is coordinating the fair. Other participants include Banco Popular, Scotiabank, Home Inspector Inc., the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Rural Development, the V.I. Housing Finance Authority, the V.I. Realtor Association, the Credit Bureau of St. Croix and the V.I. Housing Authority.
Prospective homebuyers can learn how to determine their housing priorities, ways to reduce debt, how to overcome credit problems and how much mortgage deby they can afford.
