Catherine Greenaway Wade, age 62, of New Works died Sunday, Oct. 22. A viewing will be held at noon Monday, Oct.30 at the Bethel Methodist Church in Frederiksted. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Selwin Vanderpool officiating. Interment will be in Kingshill Cemetery.
Ms. Wade is survived by her lifelong companion, Claytus Durand; her son, Thomas Greenaway; brothers, Arthur Tuitt, Samuel and Alfred Greenaway; sisters, Sarah and Ellen Greenaway, Margaret Hobson and Florence Allen; grandsons, Husani and Adom Greenaway; granddaughters, Aisha, Aina and Ain Greenaway; and great-grandson, Zyron Greenaway.
She is also survived by her uncle, James Greenaway; aunts, Catherine Ryan and Madame Samuel; godson, Wayne S. Hawley Jr.; brother-in-law, Joslyn Bryan: sister-in-law, Ultia Greenaway; special cousins, Charles E. Allen, Wilson Edwards, and Sarah Harvey; special friends, Mary Tuitt and Irma Wade; 39 nieces and nephews, including Cryselle and James Greenaway, Roxann Flavius Greenaway, Wayne S. Hawley, and Susan and Mabel Allen, along with 68 great-nieces and nephews; a great-great-niece and nephew; along with numerous friends and relatives.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Thomas Hyll Memorial Funeral Chapel.
