MAN CHARGED WITH RAPE

A 52-year-old St. Thomas man has been slapped with first-degree rape charges after an attack on a woman Saturday night, marking the 31st incident of rape reported in the district this year.
Paul "Pal" Testamark of Hospital Ground was arrested at 5:15 a.m. Sunday after being identified by his victim. Police investigators have been told that Testamark approached the woman, made advances toward her and when she refused, he attacked her.
The victim reported the sexual attack at 4 a.m. Sunday. Testamark was arrested about an hour later.
Testamark was jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail.
