CAHS VARSITY BASEBALL TOPS ALL SAINTS

The Charlotte Amalie High School varsity baseball squad topped the All Saints Vikings 12-4 Tuesday evening.
CAHS Chicken Hawks starting pitcher Fitzroy Williams Jr. had a perfect game through four innings. His effort, though, was ended with shortstop Akeem Francis’ error. Williams still kept his no-hitter intact until the sixth inning when Viking Derek Gabriel hit a double in the right field corner.
The Vikings scored four runs in the top of the sixth, forcing Chicken Hawks manager Kenny Todman switch Williams with shortstop Francis. Still, Vikings catcher Alberto Callwood's towering homerun over the right field fence highlighted the inning.
But the Chicken Hawks answered with eight runs in the bottom of the inning to regain the lead. CAHS center fielder Kwame O’Neal hit two-run home run to cap off the inning.
The Chicken Hawks improved to 4-2 for the season.
