SPECIAL ED TEACHER CORNELLE PRESTON DIXON DIES

Cornelle Preston Dixon, special education teacher at the Peace Corps School on St. Thomas, died April 25 in St. Paul, Minn., after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 48.
Dixon was a cherished member of the Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas, the St. Thomas Chapter of the Eastern Star, and the Eta Phi Beta sorority on St. Thomas.
She is survived by her father, Ervin Preston Dixon; brother, Paul Garrott Dixon; and cousin, Christopher T. Garrott III.
A memorial service was held Monday, May 1, in Minneapolis.
The family has asked that memorials be in the form of contributions to the American Breast Cancer Alliance, PO Box 8981, Minneapolis, MN 55408.
A memorial service at the Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas will be announced.
