Small Business Seminar (STT)
The UVI Small Business Development Center will hold a seminar Thursday, Feb. 10, entitled "Increasing profits through understanding customer service" at the Palms Court Harbor View Hotel. The seminar will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $20. Hord'oeuvres will be served. For mor information contact the UVI Small Business Development Center at 776-3206.
Afternoon on the Green (STT)
On Sunday, Feb. 13, UVI will hold its annual "AFTERNOON ON THE GREEN" fundraiser on the grounds of the Herman E. Moore Golf Course. Bring your appetites, your friends and family to enjoy the food, the music and the fun. This year, in addition to the UVI Steel Band, Louis Ible Jr., P'Your Passion and Lashing Dogs from Tortola, the Mungo Niles Quadrille Dancers and dancers from the V.I. Institute Of Performing Arts will perform. It all starts Sunday at 1 p.m. See you on the green!
English Proficiency Examination
The English Proficiency Examination will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10 on the St. Thomas campus in the CA building, Rooms 302, 303 and 310. On the St. Croix campus, the test will be held in rooms 302 and 303 of the Melvin Evans Center.
UVI Alumni Luncheon
The UVI St. Thomas/St. John Alumni Chapter is hosting a UVI Charter Day Celebration Luncheon on board the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line's "Nordic Empress" on Saturday, March 11, 2000 at 11:30 a.m., West Indian Company Dock. Guest Speaker is UVI Alumnus Terrence Thomas '88/'95, Director of Management Information Systems at the V.I. GERS. Tickets are $35. Proceeds go toward the chapter's scholarship at UVI. Photo ID required for boarding. Tickets are available at the UVI Bookstore, Alumni Affairs Office and chapter members.
