LONE GUNMAN ROBS CHASE WATERFRONT BRANCH

Shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday a lone gunman reportedly entered the Chase Manhattan Bank on the waterfront and demanded money.
There is little else known about the daring daylight robbery, including how much, if any, money was taken.
The branch has been closed until further notice and no one at the bank could provide any further information.
Radio One reported midday the suspect may have been captured on the surveillance camera outside the bank.
Police officials could not be reached for details, but are actively investigating the incident.
All other Chase branches are conducting business as usual.
