WORKSHOP'S FOCUS IS FIXING STORM-DAMAGED TREES

A tree restoration workshop will be held Sunday, Dec. 5, at the St. George Village Botanical Gardens to provide information to residents whose trees were damaged by Hurricane Lenny.
The workshop is being co-sponsored by the University of the Virgin Islands Cooperative Extension Service, the Natural Resources Conservation Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the V.I. Agriculture Department.
Hours are 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Topics to be covered include Tree Biology, Proper Pruning Techniques, and Erecting Fallen Trees.
