REPORTED GYPSY TAXI DRIVER STABBED TO DEATH

A man said to be a gypsy taxi driver was found stabbed to death near Sea View Nursing Home Thursday night.
Police were called at 10:12 p.m. by someone reporting a body found on the ground in the area near Bolongo Bay.
The man had been stabbed several times in the stomach, and a wound on his left hand indicated he may have been trying to defend himself, according to a release from Police Chief Jose Garcia's office.
The name of the victim, who reportedly operated a gypsy cab in the area of Plaza Extra, was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Police asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the Investigation Bureau at 774-2196 or 774-4050.
