BLAZING PHOTOS INTRODUCES DIGITAL POSTCARDS FOR NAVY VISIT

To mark this weekend's visit of the air craft carrier, USS Eisenhower, Blazing Photos will introduce its new product, digital postcards.
"Utilizing the latest technology, these are the only postcards guaranteed to reach home before you do," said Marc Blazar, president of the local photo chain. The passengers from the USS Eisenhower, will have the honor of being the first, here, to experience the service.
Blazing Photos will capture the sailor's image with a digital camera, super impose it against a background scene of the Charlotte Amalie Harbor with the carrier and e-mail the "post card" anywhere as requested within 24 hours.
The digital postcards will be on sale after the Navy's visit, to the general
public.
Blazing Photos at the Greenhouse will be open extended hours to accommodate what is expected to be a large crowd.
The technology digitizes snapshots or on-the-spot photography for transmissions across the globe. Arriving instantly, photos and messages are not subject to the risks and time lapse of traditional mail, according to a release from Blazing Photos.
"This is a great opportunity for the service men and women to send quality pictures of their time abroad to their loved ones in the blink of an eye," explained Blazar. "In turn this is our way of welcoming the Navy and adding a little excitement to their visit."
