Police still have not identified the man who was shot and killed last Thursday, Sept. 16, in Contant near the Michele Motel.
The man known only as "Forest Gump" was shot twice.
He was homeless and frequented the Contant Car Wash, according to a release from Police Chief Jose Garcia.
Police are canvassing the Contant area trying to determine a motive for the shooting. They have no suspects.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Investigation Bureau Major Criem Unit at 774-4050 or 774-2196.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
