Roy Petersen Sr. Dead at 56

Feb. 10, 2009 – Roy Petersen Sr. died on Jan. 31, at Roy L. Schneider Regional Medical Center. He was 56 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Estellita Rodriquez-Petersen; mother, Ruth Frett-Petersen; daughters: Lucina, Makeda, Jamaala', Jahmeka and Makia Petersen; adopted daughter Tiffany Grosvenor; sons: Roy Jr., Raun, Jamaal, Ahkeel and Raheem Petersen; and 16 grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters: Lucia and Maria Francis; brothers: Ted and Erall Rabsatt, and Louis Frett; mother-in-law, Myri Francis; aunts: Janet Thomas and Mary White; uncles: Ernest Frett and Edwardo George; godchild, Afiya Edwards; special friends: Sidney Issac, Lencito Charleswell, Aubrey Haynes Jr., Emile Francis Jr., Steven Frett, Stylish Willis, Maanazo Lamakalo, Alistair Edwards, Claude Daniels, Cyril Andrews, Rev. Ralph Prince, Audie Henneman, Derek Heyliger, Donna Andrews, Paul Freeman, Vernol Turnbull Jr., Arriell Guirty, Jefferey and Lorraine Fredricks, Samuel and Stephanie Browne, Leburn Smith, Monique Lynch, Dianne O'Garro, Savanieros and Juan Christian; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be tributes beginning at 8:30 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 14, at Memorial Moravian Church.
