Samuel Neal Holloway, also known as “Sam,” of Whim Gardens died on March 22. He was 76 years old.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Mitchiel; father, William Holloway; sisters: Cynthia Lewis, Monica Simone and Merle Callendar; brothers: Ulric Holloway, John Holloway and Benjamin Holloway.
He is survived by his daughters: Nataly Holloway, Cusa Holloway Christian, Onica Walcott and Roxie Holloway; sons: Samuel N. Holloway Jr. and Lemuel Defreitas; grandchildren: Chelsey Soodeen, Tyler Alexis, Antuan Espirit, Najae Jeffers and Naya Thompson; sister, Anita Mitchiel; sons-in-law: Mario A. Christian Sr. and Alfred Thompson; and grandson-in-law, Israel Soodeen.
He is also survived by special friends: Winston Hendrickson, Francis “Scratchy” Mondesir, Grace and Alston Smith, Peter Lewis, Annalise Peets, Guyan Augustin, Wayne E. Charles, Mrs. Bramble, Norma Christian, Keffanie John, James Christian and the residents of Whim Gardens; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
