On Saturday, May 13, on the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) campus quadrangle, over 1,000 bachelor’s degrees were awarded during the university’s 149th commencement ceremony. William Van Rensselaer of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, was awarded a bachelor of science degree in computer science.
An alumnus of Antilles School’s Class of 2009) and former U.S. Virgin Islands Territorial Chess Champion, William Van Rensselaer will start full time employment on May 30 as a software engineer with www.Wayfair.com, at their head office in Copley Square, Boston, Mass. Formerly known as CSN Stores, Wayfair was founded in 2002 and now sells furniture, home furnishings, and décor items. Headquartered in Boston, it has offices and warehouses throughout the United States as well as in Canada, Germany, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
Van Rensselaer is the son of Corinne Van Rensselaer and the late Rik Van Rensselaer.
This guy takes 8 years to graduate from a Third Tier school and he receives a glowing write up in the Source?
