Rotary Club Movie on Lifestyle Medicine

Doug K. White, the environmental chairperson for the Rotary Club of St. Thomas East ECO, invites the public to join the club’s first internet-based, environmentally themed movie night. The first segment of the documentary, “Code Blue,” will be screened via a Zoom conference call as part of the club’s regular meeting.  People interested in participating in the Zoom video call are asked to email Rotary East ECO at: rotaryclubstthomaseast@gmail.com and the ZOOM link to access the presentation will be forwarded via return email. Code Blue, is a documentary film that demonstrates how Lifestyle Medicine can prevent, treat and even reverse chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, cancer, stroke, dementia and multiple sclerosis (MS). The United States spent 3 trillion dollars last year on Sick Care, 86 percent of which was spent on chronic diseases that can often be treated, prevented or even reversed by making lifestyle changes. Eighty percent of these chronic diseases do not need to exist.
