A Celebration of Community Disaster Response

The St. Thomas Recovery Team invites the public to attend “2storms 2years 2gether,” a celebration of the local community’s contributions to disaster response and recovery. Hurricanes Irma and Maria overwhelmed the Virgin Islands’ ability to effectively address all the needs of the community. On St. Thomas, nonprofit organizations, community groups and small businesses took on a primary role in helping communities in the days, weeks and months following the storms. This event seeks to recognize those efforts, share what has been accomplished in the last two years, as well as plan for the future. Any person or organization that would like to take part or needs further questions or clarification, please contact Imani Daniel, executive director of STRT.
