Masked Suspects Rob Main Street Jewelry Store, VIPD Says

Masked suspects robbed a Main Street on St. Thomas jewelry store Wednesday afternoon, taking jewelry valued at several thousand dollars, the Virgin Islands Police Department reported.

Police said officers and detectives were dispatched at about 12:26 p.m. to Precious Jewels and Diamonds after a reported robbery. Investigators said multiple suspects dressed in all black entered the store, shattered glass display cases and removed jewelry, according to the police report.

Witnesses told police the suspects fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Police said the suspects are considered armed and dangerous and remain unidentified, the police report stated.

The case is under active investigation by the Virgin Islands Police Departmentโ€™s Criminal Investigation Bureau, the report stated.
