Seaborne Airlines will suspend all seaplane flight operations between St. Thomas and St. Croix from May 31 through June 6, 2025, to complete a mandatory aircraft corrosion inspection, the airline announced.
The weeklong pause affects the airline’s DeHavilland Twin Otter aircraft and is part of a routine safety measure required to ensure compliance with aviation standards. In a statement, the company emphasized that the inspection is critical to maintaining the long-term safety, reliability, and integrity of its fleet.
“We understand the inconvenience this may cause our passengers,” the airline said in a statement Thursday. “But we believe this short-term pause is essential to uphold the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.”
Seaborne said it expects to resume full service on June 7 and is working to assist affected customers with rebooking or refunds.
