Cape Air announced Thursday that passengers can now begin booking nonstop flights between St. Thomas and St. Barthélemy, with service officially launching on Oct. 13.

The twice-daily route marks a major expansion of the airline’s Caribbean network, creating a direct connection between two of the region’s most sought-after destinations, according to the airline.

According to Cape Air, the new service is designed to provide a seamless experience for travelers arriving in St. Thomas by air or sea who are headed to the luxury enclave of St. Barts’s.

“This route represents Cape Air’s commitment to Caribbean connectivity,” said company President Linda Markham in a statement. “It’s all about elevating the island travel experience.”

With the addition of the St. Thomas–St. Barth’s route, Cape Air, is closing a long-standing gap in regional air service that previously required visitors to rely on private charters or ferries. The new route will cater to a range of travelers, including vacationers, yachting guests, and island-hoppers seeking a faster, more convenient option, the airline stated.

“The opening of this new route between St. Thomas and St. Barts represents a meaningful step forward for regional connectivity,” said Alexandra Questel, president of the Territorial Tourism Board of Saint-Barthélemy. “We warmly welcome any initiative that enhances access to our island and enriches the travel experience for visitors and residents alike. This new connection simplifies travel, supports local tourism, and brings our Caribbean communities even closer together.”

In addition to the Caribbean expansion, Cape Air also announced new nonstop flights in the Northeast U.S., including routes from New Bedford, Islip, and Norwood to Boston, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. All flights are available for booking starting today.
