Masked Gunmen Rob Point Pleasant Resort Guests

Multiple masked assailants robbed guests at the Point Pleasant Resort on St. Thomas early Monday morning, the V.I. Police Department reported.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting a robbery. Victims reported being approached by multiple individuals wearing masks and dark clothing, armed with “long guns,” as they arrived at the resort, according to the police report.

The suspects forced the victims to stop their vehicle and then ordered them to empty their pockets and surrender their personal belongings. The assailants struck several victims in the head with weapons. One victim reported a suspect placing a stolen credit card in a “black box,” the police report stated.

The victims were unable to identify any of the suspects in this matter, the report stated.

Police are investigating and asking anyone with information to contact 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 ext. 5575, or Crime Stoppers VI at 1-800-222-8477.
