On Dec. 11, Virgin Islands Police Department officers discovered 5.5 kilograms of cocaine during an investigation in Annas Retreat on St. Thomas, the V.I. Police Department reported.
The discovery occurred while officers were responding to an anonymous tip about a wanted homicide suspect, though the suspect was not located. The seized cocaine was turned over to the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas task force, the police report stated.
