
Ina Juanita Petersen Sylvester died peacefully at her residence on Sept. 9. She was 85 years old.
The first viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, at Turnbullโs Funeral Home. The second viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 4, St. Andrewโs Episcopal Church. Interment will be at the Smith Bay Eastern Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Chrystalia V. Smith; father, Percival Petersen; sons: John Turbe Sr. and Anthony โHamsterโ Warner; brothers: Errol, Hjalmar, Robert, Wilford, Octavius and Gustave Petersen, Jens George and William โEddieโ George; sisters: Lena Petersen Francis, Isabell Petersen Horton, Viola Petersen Krigger, Helen Petersen Hall, Merle Allen and Ruby George; grandchildren: Khamal โPetty Godโ DeSilvia, Alford โShimboโ Rhymer Jr. and John Turbe Jr.; great-grandchildren: Akil Greig Jr. and Cairo Dawson; and son-in-law, St. Clair โWhadableeโ DeSilvia.
She is survived by her daughters: Sharon Turbe DeSilvia, Ann Greaux, Karen and Mildred Turbe; sons: Robert Petersen Sr. and Alford Rhymer Sr.; brother, Louis George Sr.; granddaughters: Khamry DeSilvia, Antoinette and Shennice Joseph, Sherina Turbe Smith, Mitzi Fisackerly, Monica Greaux, Melyssa Aubain, Amarah, Aminah and Aeshah Rhymer, Kanisha Joseph, Antonique, Antonisha, Alisha and Anya Warner, Bridgette and Shenell Lake, Monique Turbe and Jasmine Turbe; and adopted granddaughter, Maxine Sasso.
She is also survived by grandsons: Khaleed, Khamoi and Khadeem DeSilvia, Elvin โJuniorโ Fahie, Sidone, Laurent and Emile Lake, Kori Vialet Sr., Anthony Turbe Sr., Robert Petersen Jr., Dixon Martin, Dwight and Gene Aubain, Mark, Jermaine and Michael Turbe;
