Man Faces Domestic Violence Charges After Slapping Woman

A St. Thomas man turned himself into authorities Wednesday for slapping a woman, the V.I. Police Department reported.

On Wednesday, at about 4:58 p.m., the Domestic Violence Unit was notified that a female victim was present at the Richard Callwood Command Police Station, reporting that she had been assaulted. The female stated that a former acquaintance, Ducson Antoine, came to her place of employment and assaulted her, according to the police report.

The victim stated that Antoine came to her job, where he forcefully took her cell phone, the keys to her house and vehicle, and slapped her in the face. When Antoine left the business, he removed her vehicle from where she parked it, the police report stated.

Antoine, 35, turned himself into the Domestic Violence Unit, where he was placed under arrest for unauthorized use of a vehicle, robbery in the third-degree DV, simple assault DV, and disturbance of the peace DV. No bail was set in this case per the Domestic Violence Statue, police said.

This case is currently under investigation by the Domestic Violence Unit. Anyone having
