Lydia E. Ayala of Estate Glynn transitioned into eternal peace on July 13. She was 68 years old.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Antolina Acosta; father, Eugenio Rivera; brothers: Reynaldo Rivera and Eugenio Rivera Jr.; and grandchild, Ujenio Ayala Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Antonio Ayala; children: Antonio Ayala Jr., Carmen L Ayala, Juan E Ayala, Ismael Ayala, Ujenio Ayala and Marcos A. Ayala; siblings: Maria E Rios, Luz M Rivera, Iris Y. Nieves, Sandra L Rivera, Rene Rivera and Rodolfo Rivera; and niece, Jahnesha Nieves.
She is also survived by brothers-in-law: Wilfredo Nieves and Felipe Rios; and grandchildren: Ari Ayala, Jeremiah Cruz, Xavier Cruz, Kayla Rivera, Kassandra Ferrer, Bria Cherry, Krystal Merritt, Calvin Richard’s Jr., Anjelica Velasquez, Yashaira Ayala, Ava Lydia Maria Ayala, Zion Ayala, Jahziah Ishmael Ayala, Amaya Ayala, Ismael Ayala Jr. and Asa Levi Ayala.
Other survivors include great-grandchildren: Isaiah Velasquez, Jayden Velasquez, Khaliyah Nathaniel, Genesis Daniels, Harmony Robertson, Moriah Merritt, Anthony Chase Merritt Jr. and Jayda Burch; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
