Mildred Veronica Carlisle Williams Dies at 85

Mildred Veronica Carlisle Williams

Mildred Veronica Carlisle Williams of Estate Glynn died on Friday, April 26. She was 85 years old.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Valentine; and father, John Carlisle.

She is survived by her spouse: Walter T. “Shorty” Williams; sons: Vanley Pilgrim, Walter R. “Reggie” Williams and Karl Williams Sr.; stepdaughter, Idris Finney; grandchildren: Robert Pilgrim, Richard Pilgrim, Karl Williams, Jr., Kordel Williams and Shania Frederick; sisters: Idona Blondena Parker, Johanna “Chicky” Agnite and Gisel Carlisle; brothers: Zack and Solomon Carlisle; and nieces: Junie Richards, Cavella Romeo, Gloria Duncan, Gabrielle Merrick, Janice Stephens, Karen Parker, Jahlenta Thomas, Jalornsia Simon, Ruthlyn Edwards and Antoinette Thomas.

She is also survived by nephews: Chick Young, Michael Evans, Jemon Roberts, Deemus Merrick, Hewellet, Terrance Greene, Maxwell George, Mervyn and Brent Parker, Jason Phillip, Jahmarley Carlisle, Brad Joseph, Kemoy Carlisle and Donte Anthony; Great nieces: Jerrie-Anne Jeremy, Bethan Marajah, Addasa Thomas, Portia Young, Latesha, Simone and Gianna Evans; great nephews: Dego Romeo, Marlon and Tumasie Blair, and Antonio Thomas; and daughters-in-law: Violet Pilgrim and Shama Williams.

Other survivors include brothers-in-law: Murphy Parker and Campbell Williams; sister-in-law, Joslyn Williams; special friends: Ingrid Jones and family, Evelyn Jahi, Eilleen Carr, Velda Massaiah, Elvena Martin, Mary Ann Jarvis, Lena Martin and family, Brother Jacob, Elizabeth Madir, Pastor Michael and family, Genora Abbott Dempster and Central Seventh-day Adventist Church Congregation and the prayer group; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

here will be a viewing at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Sunday, May 26, at Central SDA Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
