Ruben Acosta Jr. of Estate Catherine Rest died on Jan. 11. He was 53 years old.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Acosta,
He is survived by his mother, Lydia Santos; sons: Ruben Acosta and Dariel Ruben Acosta; stepdaughter, Ivonne Davis Huggins; sisters: Lizette Encarnacion, Yolanda Maisonet and Minerva Acosta; brothers-in-law: Augustin Encarnacion Jr., Rolando Maisonet and Roberto Martinez; and aunts: Iris V. Garcia, Felipa Viera, Juana C. Velez, Carmen Gloria, Luz M. Acosta and Elizabeth Santos.
He is also survived by uncles: Juan Sr., Cesario and Cesar Anibal Acosta, Froilo Santos Jr., Felix Garcia, Juan Velez and Froilo Santos Rodriguez; nieces: Ligia Elena Bristol and Raysbett T. Gantier; nephews: Augustin III, Omar And Joshua A. Encarnacion, Julio Angel And Miguel Angel Cruz III, Chayanne Ruben Trinidad, Luis De La Cruz and Ramon Antonio Gantier; and great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The family requests that those in attendance wear festive colors.
The viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 26, at Iglesia Metodista Hispana de Santa Cruz, 4 Estate Mount Royal, Christiansted. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
