Shots Fired Leaves Two Injured on St. Thomas

Shots were fired in the area of Raphune Hill Sunday, which left two people with gunshot wounds, the V.I. Police Department reported.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., the officers were dispatched to Schnieder Regional Medical Center in reference to two gunshot victims. A preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were both in the area of Raphune Hill when they heard shots and immediately thereafter discovered that they had been shot, according to the police report.

One victim sustained a gunshot wound to the hand and the other to the back. Both victims were treated for their wounds at SRMC, the police report stated.

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
