
Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes reminds the public that the deadline to register to vote in order to be eligible to participate in the Nov. 8, 2022, General Election is Sunday, Oct. 9.
Pursuant to VI Code 18, Chapter 5, voter registration is closed for a period of 30 days immediately preceding and five days immediately following each election.
The Elections System offices will provide extended voter registration hours effective Wednesday, Oct. 5, to Sunday, Oct. 9. Fees for lost or stolen Voter ID cards will be waived. The extended voter registration hours will take place at the respective Elections System Offices:
Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on St. Croix and St. Thomas
Thursday, Oct. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on St. Croix and St. Thomas; on St. John Office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on St. Croix and St. Thomas
Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to noon on St. John, St. Thomas, and St. Croix
Sunday, Oct. 9, from noon to 3 p.m. on St. John, St. Thomas and St. Croix
Documents required to register to vote:
Birth Certificate or
Passport (United States) or
Military Discharge form (DD214) or
Naturalization Certificate.
