Almira Maria Williams-McIntosh

Almira Maria Williams-McIntosh of Estate Hannah’s Rest died on Jan. 28.

She is survived by her grandchildren: Ali Navarro Jr., Sherleen “Peachie” Barnes-Melendez, Neal Barnes, Denise Barnes-Dorville, Ky’mani Barnes, Sandra Barnes-George and Andre Pemberton; great-grandchildren: Rasheeda Gonzales, Juan Melendez, Arielle Melendez, Alex Melendez, Shakira Navarro-Williams, Ali Navarro III, Natalio Ponce, Miguel Ponce, Natash Barnes, Naheem Barnes, Nazar Barnes, Faith Numa, Deandre Pemberton, Kiandra Pemberton and Shaniyah George (deceased); great-great-grandchildren: D’Vonte Melendez, Ava Williams, Jaxon Williams, Ne’zah Barnes, Ny’ara Barnes, Nyla Barnes, Shani Ponce and Elijah Numa; sisters: Joyce Christian and Irma Christian-Lindquist; brothers: Darwin Christian, Almeric Christian and Rafael Christian; adopted grandchildren: Alvin M. A. Milligan, Francina MacFarlane and Andrea Ponce-Barnes; adopted sisters: Ann Libert, Dorcas Johnson-Crane and Dorothy Joseph; and special niece, Claudette S. Christian-Richards.

She is also survived by nieces: Diana Buntin-Edwards, Deborah C. Buntin-Lassiter, Danielle Jean’marie, Sandra T. Knight, Pamela Sewer, Nancy Rose, Stacey Rose, Twana Rose, Melissa Jackson, Lucindra Carson, Amber Williams, Devin Knights, Beryl Hansen, Cheryl Smith, Rema Christian, Kisha Christian, Raquel Christian, Raven Christian, Diane Thomas and Sheneak Christian; nephews: Melvin A. Buntin, Thorvald “Chukoo” McIntosh Jr., Ezekiel Brooks, Anthony Sewer, Ernest Rose, Carlyle Carson, Darwin Christian, Dwayne Christian, Jahidi Christian, Jahkeem Christian, Cyril Lindquist, August Lindquist, Eddie Lindquist, Roberto Lindquist, Roan Lindquist, Akkido Lindquist, Carl Hansen, Charles Sealey Sr., Rafael Christian Jr., Itiba Christian, Emmett Christian Jr.; grandsons-in-law: Juan Melendez, Delroy George and Patrick Dorville; great-granddaughter-in-law, Kercy Barnes; great-grandson-in-law, Audley Williams; and other relatives and friends: Friedensberg  Moravian Church Women’s Fellowship/ Congregation, Richmond Senior Center Staff/Seniors, Shania Milligan and Aleeyah Milligan.

A viewing will take place from 3-5 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16, at James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, at Friedensberg Moravian Church. Interment will at Frederiksted Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all attendees must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines
