Ivaughn C. Hurtault Dies at 74

Ivaughn C. Hurtault

Ivaughn C. Hurtault of Estate Williams Delight died on Sept. 7. He was 74 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Ruby Hurtault; children: Edris Agatha Hurtault, Cedric Durand, Lester Hurtault, Coretta Hurtault-Ferdinand and Vaughn Hurtault; and grandchildren: Enoch Garvey, Aliya Garvey, Tonysha Garvey, Ahimsa Garvey, Rakeem Durand, Cedrina Durand, Nathaniel Durand, Krystal Hurtault, Lester Hurtault Jr., Annabel Hurtault, Theo Hurtault, Savannah Hurtault, Vaughn Hurtault Jr. and Aurora Hurtault.

He is also survived by great-grandchildren: Amir-Christopher Garvey, Gabriel Melendez and Arista Melendez; aunty, Martha Bruney; uncle, Francis Bruney; siblings: Margaret Thomas, Joan Beupierre, Benedict Hurtault, Arnold Hurtault, Ella Lawrence, Gideon Hurtault and Henkel Hurtault; and in-laws: John Beaupierre, Edith Hurtault, Augustine Hurtault, James Lawrence, Alison Simmons, Lerna Sewer and Connie Hurtault.

More survivors are nieces and nephews: Wendel Thomas, Carol Thomas, Alix Beaupierre, Jason Beaupierre, Chad Beaupierre, Joff Hurtault, Troy Hurtault, Torance Hurtault, Candice Knight, Erison Hurtault, Marrisa Hurtault, Georgina Hurtault, Chris Lawrence, Brandon Lawrence, Travis Lawrence, Eric Lawrence, Stephanie Hurtault, Jessica Hurtault, Nelson Hurtault, Kenrick Hurtault, Olive Hurtault, Aaron Hurtault, Britta Hurtault, Fitzroy Hurtault, Jemma Hurtault and Tyler Hurtault.

Other survivors include family members: the Austries, Barrys, Beaupierres, Bruneys, Colaires, Durands, Hurtaults, Hypolites, Lestradeses, Martins, Philberts, Thomases and Williamses; close friends: the Bazils, Edwardses, Figueroas, Guzmans, Johns, Munroes, St. Jeans, the St. Joseph’s Church parishioners, Father Mark; long-time friends: Hess/Hovensa, C&C Construction, Litwin, and home town friends of La Plaine Dominica; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 20, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and public health regulations, all attendees must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing.
