Marguerita Henley Dies at 82

Marguerita Henley, better known as “Rita,” age 82, died on Saturday, June 5, on St. Thomas.

She is survived by her husband, Lionel Henley; son, Gilbert Henley; daughters: Patricia Henley Gordon and Karen Henley; grandchildren: Shawana Thomas and David Gordon; great-grandchild, Kairo Edwards; daughter-in-law, Cassandra Henley; and brothers: Olonzo Hodge, Elroy Hodge, Dennis Hodge, Harold Hodge and Earl Hodge.

She is also survived by her sister, Elrena Hodge; brothers-in-law: Ralph Henley and Irvine Hodge; sisters-in-law: Violet DeWindt, Adena Henley, Mary Hodge, Perla Hodge, Patricia Hodge and Guiter Hodge; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and friends too numerous to mention.

The viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. followed by the service at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 19, at Cruz Bay Baptist Church, St. John. Interment will be at Cruz Bay Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face masks are required at the funeral.
