Detectives of the VIPD Domestic Violence Unit at roughly 1:52 p.m. Wednesday arrested 18-year-old K’Jahni A. Rivera of Mount Pleasant, on St. Croix, charging him with second-degree assault, domestic violence; simple assault and battery and disturbance of the peace by fighting.
Rivera allegedly assaulted his former partner, causing visible injuries, on Feb. 22.
Rivera was jailed without bail, as per the territory’s domestic violence laws, pending his advice of rights hearing.
