Gloria Eugenie Adams Marcus Dies at 80

Gloria Eugenie Adams Marcus

Gloria Eugenie Adams Marcus, also known as “Glory,” of Estate Sion Farm died on March 11. She was 80 years old.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Remo Frazer; and father; Rudolph Adams.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Marcus; daughter, Hermina Marcus; sons: Stacey Johannes and Herman “Rudy” Marcus; grandchildren: Anastasia, Herman and Genesis Marcus; sisters: Agnes Buntin, Dolores Boyd, Mazel Adams and May Adams Cornwall; and brothers: Roger Adams and Brian Adams.

She is also survived by nieces: Sharon Reed, Andrea Bush, Latisha Adams, Candace Cornwall, Linda, Carol, Joy, Helen and Mable Stanley; nephews: Emery Adams, Oriel Cornwall, Ray Adams and Anderson Stanley; and aunts: Adelia Norman, Florina Barnes, Evelyn Baird and Lima Frazer.

Other survivors include her uncle, Arnold Barnes Sr.; brothers-in-law: Reginald Samuel and Elton Marcus; sisters-in-law: Helen Stanley, Mable King and Gwendolyn Samuel; special family and friends: Albert and Marie Schuster, Anna, Jacqueline and Vincent Gordon Jr., Corine and Arnold Barnes Jr.; as well as other relatives and friend too numerous to mention.

The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 25, at Beeston Hill Wesleyan Holiness Church. Interment will follow at Christiansted Cemetery.

The family asks that all attendees adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines. Masks are required to attend services.
