Florida Woman on STX Arrested on Florida Warrant

At about 2:20 p.m., Monday, a detective from the V.I. Police Department’s U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force Detective arrested Venessa Blanco, age 31 of no fixed address, charging her with being a fugitive from justice.

Blanco, who was in police custody on a separate local charge, was found to have an active warrant in the state of Florida. The warrant accuses her of failing to appear in court for a possession of a controlled substance charge. She was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending her extradition hearing.
